Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Beverly Hill, California. Vase in red tone Sumida pottery fabrication, circa Meiji period. Country of origin: Japan. Thisvase has a multi-colored drip glaze design in tones of green, cobalt blue, and white on the surround, which is irregularly shaped. There is an applied pottery design of two child figures: a female on the left holding a ball up to a male onthe right that is perched above her. There is an applied porcelain plaque on the back that is signed in Japanese characters by the artist Ishiguro Koko. This vase measures 8.25 inches tall by 3.75inches in diameter. Provenance: Property from the Saul Brandman Foundation.
